Director of Racquet Sports
Born and raised in Almaden, Steve Richards grew up playing tennis right here at ASRC! His knowledge and understanding as a highly ranked junior player led him to coaching, which he has now done locally for the past 15 years.
As the head tennis coach at Bret Harte Middle School, Steve has steadily grown the team into one of the best junior tennis programs in the South Bay. He excels in communication and encourages players to view the game from a “progress-oriented” perspective that allows rapid improvement while still enjoying the sport. Steve loves taking players through the competitive process, helping them advance their ratings, and even break into the tournament scene!
